ride like a Queen Premium Tee
Marie Antoinette, known as the iconic Queen of France, was also known as a tough and talented horsewoman. In 1776, when the United States of America was founded, an American diplomat wrote a letter to the Continental Congress requesting an American Saddlebred as a gift for the Queen. It was rumored that, when presented with a painting of an American Saddlebred, the Queen said she had never seen a more beautiful creature.
Inspired by this story, artist Alfred de Dreux (1810-1860) created this painting, in the likeness of Marie Antoinette riding what he called āun cheval caracolant,ā French for āthe prancing horse.ā
In honor of the Olympics being held in France, Saddlethreads is proud to present our new design ā āride like a Queen.āThis classic unisex jersey short sleeve tee fits like a well-loved favorite.
